Anne Cherry Barnett represents heavy equipment manufacturers, energy companies, chemical manufacturers and technology companies in toxic tort, products liability and serious personal injury matters. She has handled all phases of such litigation, including hundreds of plaintiff, percipient and expert witness depositions. Ms. Barnett has also handled significant motions including sophisticated summary judgment and discovery motions.

Prior to joining Sedgwick, Ms. Barnett was a legal research attorney for the presiding judge and all trial departments at San Francisco Superior Court.

Ms. Barnett is a member of the State Bar of California and the American Bar Association.
While attending law school, Ms. Barnett was a Merit Scholar, an Arthur Zief Jr. Scholar, a semi-finalist in the University of San Francisco Advocate of the Year Competition, and a technical editor for the Maritime Law Journal . She was the vice-president of the Student Bar Association, a panel chair of the Women’s Law Association and the recipient of the San Mateo County Women’s Lawyers Education Fund Award. In addition, Ms. Barnett externed for the Honorable Ksenia Tsenin, Judge of the Superior Court of California in San Francisco. Additionally, she was a certified law student intern at the University of San Francisco Criminal Law Clinic representing adult and juvenile misdemeanor offenders in all aspects of criminal proceedings.
