Memberships & Honors
Ms. McKay also served as an extern in the dispute resolution office of National Association of Securities Dealers (NASD Regulation) in 1999 and in the Los Angeles District Attorney's Office-Central Preliminary Hearing Unit, where she successfully conducted over 35 felony preliminary hearings.
Ms. McKay was named a “Southern California Super Lawyer–Rising Star” for 2005 and 2007 by the publishers of Los Angeles Magazine and The Journal for Law & Politics . Only 2.5 percent of Southern California lawyers in Los Angeles and Orange counties received this honor.
During law school, Ms. McKay was inducted into the Order of the Barristers, was a member of the Moot Court Team and won several competitions, including the Roger J. Traynor Moot Court Competition (1999), the Vincent S. Dalsimer Moot Court Competition (1999), the Hispanic National Bar Association Moot Court Competition, (1998) and the ABA Negotiation Competition (1997).
Ms. McKay is currently working towards her master's degree in dispute resolution.
