Houston Special Counsel Joe Larsen Quoted by Texas Tribune Regarding Lack of Transparency in Governor's Schedule
Joe Larsen was also quoted in the Texas Tribune article about Texas Governor Rick Perry’s lack of schedule information in “Perry's Spare Schedule Feeds Transparency Concerns” available here.
Mr. Larsen states, “The fact that there are so few records regarding his schedule is related to the deletion of emails. It reduces the amount of information that's available to the people of Texas. If it's a decision to minimize records of his activity, what that means in the end is that people just don't know what he's doing — and people need to know what the governor's doing."
Mr. Larsen focuses his practice on media law with extensive experience in all aspects of media newsroom representation including defending clients in defamation lawsuits, defending and handling of subpoenas, prior restraint matters, and access to governmental and court proceedings and records. He also has a practice in general and commercial litigation and bankruptcy, and is experienced in both insurance coverage disputes and insurance defense.
