Sedgwick Los Angeles Office Managing Partner Appointed Vice-Chair of DRI Diversity Subcommittee

Craig Barnes, Sedgwick Los Angeles office managing partner and Diversity Committee co-chair, has been appointed vice-chair of DRI’s (Defense Research Institute) Commercial Litigation’s Diversity Subcommittee effective April 2012. Barnes was appointed by Diversity Subcommittee leaders Elio Martinez, Peter Strand and Kathleen Lang. A longtime member of DRI, Barnes served on DRI’s “Diversity in the Profession” Planning Committee from 2009-2010. Barnes is also a member of the American Bar Association, John Langston Bar Association, the National Bar Association and the California Association of Black Lawyers. An active trial lawyer, Barnes focuses his practice on tort and business litigation cases. He practices in the areas of complex business litigation, toxic torts, product liability and general liability. DRI is an international member organization of attorneys involved in defending the interests of business’ and individuals involved in civil litigation. DRI considers diversity to be a core value of its organization and aspire to improve diversity in the legal profession.
