Sedgwick Sponsors HNBA Mid-Year Conference in New Jersey
March 2012
Sedgwick was pleased to sponsor the Hispanic National Bar Association’s (HNBA) Third Annual Corporate Counsel Conference held in Jersey City, New Jersey, from March 28 through March 31, 2012. The event was one of the highlights of the HNBA’s 2012 celebration of its 40-year history since its founding in 1972 by Mario Guerra Obledo, a renowned civil rights leader who in 1971 was also one of the founders of the San Francisco La Raza Lawyers Association.
Sedgwick partner Dennis Vega moderated a panel CLE at the conference entitled "Complex Litigation: Preparing and Defending the High Stakes Case." Among the more than 700 people attending the enormously successful three-day conference was Sedgwick attorney Denise Trani-Morris. And as the HNBA affiliate representative for San Francisco La Raza Lawyers Association, Sedgwick attorney Sigrid Irías was honored to participate in the HNBA Board of Governors’ strategic planning session held on the opening day of the conference.
