Sedgwick London Supports InterLaw Diversity Forum
May 2012
Sedgwick London has added its support to the InterLaw Diversity Forum, an inter-organizational forum of LGBT networks for the legal sector in London. The forum’s membership includes personnel (both lawyers and non-lawyers) working in private practice and in-house. InterLaw’s overall objective is to encourage LGBT diversity and inclusion in the legal sector. As part of its mandate it provides guidance and support for the LGBT community, encourages the co-operation and sharing of experiences and best practice among LGBT networks, provides guidance and support to employers on the development and implementation of their diversity and inclusion strategies and policies, and works with other organizational networks and committees in the LGBT community and legal sector on events and projects consistent with its mission. Recently, the Forum collaborated with the Law Society and Bar Council of England & Wales to produce a report on the barriers face by LGBT lawyers to application for judicial appointment. Sedgwick London attorney Chen Foley is an active member.
