The Federation of Defense and Corporate Counsel (FDCC) has elected Bruce Celebrezze, San Francisco partner and chair of Sedgwick's Insurance Division, senior director. During the one-year term, Mr. Celebrezze will serve as a member of the board of directors, which is responsible for leading the FDCC, and will work on special projects for the FDCC president and other leaders of the organization.
Mr. Celebrezze has held several key positions with the FDCC, including serving as a vice president and as Dean of the Litigation Management College Graduate Program. He is also the former Chair of the FDCC’s Insurance Coverage Section and a recipient of the John Alan Appleman Award, which honors the Chair of an FDCC Substantive Law Section who has made outstanding contributions to the advancement of the FDCC’s education goals through the work of his or her Section.
Mr. Celebrezze has been practicing in the field of insurance law for more than 30 years. He represents a wide variety of international, national, and regional primary and excess insurers and reinsurers, with an emphasis on litigating coverage issues arising out of complex third party casualty and first party property disputes as well as life, health, and disability claims.
The FDCC, composed of recognized leaders in the legal community who have achieved professional distinction, is dedicated to promoting knowledge, fellowship, and professionalism of its members as they pursue the course of a balanced justice system and represent those in need of a defense in civil lawsuits.
