Press Release - Sedgwick Attorney Appointed to Working Wardrobes’ Board of Directors

March 2007

Sedgwick, Detert, Moran & Arnold LLP announced that Working Wardrobes appointed Sedgwick attorney Alexandra McDermott Wilcox to serve on its board of directors as chair of corporate sponsorship. Wilcox will serve a three-year term with the nonprofit organization, which helps men and women in crisis re-enter the workforce by providing clothing and career development.

"Serving on the board of this nonprofit affords me the opportunity to significantly impact the Orange County community," said Wilcox. "Working Wardrobes does more than provide clothing and workshops, they help those most in need to regain their independence, self-esteem and hope for the future. I am thrilled to be a member of this team, and look forward to achieving great things."

"Alexandra Wilcox epitomizes the modern lawyer," said Curtis Parvin, managing partner of Sedgwick's Orange County office. "She is not only an incredibly bright and talented attorney, but she also uses her gifts to better the lives of those around her."

Wilcox, a graduate of the Chapman University School of Law, serves as a litigator and legal advisor in Sedgwick's Orange County office. She focuses her practice on business and commercial litigation and advises employees and employers in all aspects of employment law. In addition to her position at Working Wardrobes, Wilcox also serves as the vice president of programming for the American Business Women's Association, Newport Beach Express Chapter, and on the board of Sedgwick's Women's Forum.
