Sedgwick, Detert, Moran & Arnold LLP announced that Hilary N. Rowen, formerly of Thelen Reid Brown Raysman & Steiner LLP, has joined Sedgwick's San Francisco office as a partner and member of the firm's Insurance Practices Group.

Rowen brings her regulatory expertise to Sedgwick's already robust Insurance Practices Group. Rowen advises clients on a wide range of insurance regulatory matters, including compliance issues, California Department of Insurance enforcement actions, rate hearings, rulemaking proceedings and insurer insolvencies. She also advises insurers on regulatory issues in connection with mergers and acquisitions, surplus note issuances and other transactions. She received her J.D., cum laude, from Harvard Law School; her M.P.P. from Harvard's John F. Kennedy School of Government; and her B.A., with honors, from Stanford University.
