Directors & Officers Liability Insurance Deskbook
The Directors & Officers Liability Insurance Deskbook is an everyday, ready reference tool for active D&O claims practitioners, particularly in-house claims examiners. The Deskbook is organized in a straightforward manner, with easy-to-locate, self-contained discussions of coverage issues and short synopses of important judicial decisions (in various jurisdictions) interpreting those issues. The Deskbook will assist the claims examiner in identifying the pertinent coverage issue and in determining how courts in the relevant jurisdiction are addressing the issue or interpreting the relevant policy wording. This revised and expanded second edition supplements the first edition and includes all new topics and cases, as well as discussions of older issues that now largely are settled.
In addition to an introduction to D&O liability insurance, the book examines policy issuance, the insuring agreements, trigger of coverage, scope of coverage, defense obligations, policy limits and retentions, other insurance clauses, policy exclusions, settlement, allocation, policy termination and nonrenewal, and coverage litigation issues.
