Sedgwick Welcomes Charles W. Hurst

Sedgwick is pleased to announce that Charles W. Hurst has joined the firm's Real Estate Practice Group as special counsel in our Orange County office. Mr. Hurst was formerly a partner at Snell & Wilmer LLP, and brings to Sedgwick a wealth of experience in representing clients in a variety of real estate transactions.

Mr. Hurst represents major corporations in their national leasing efforts, as well as tenants running the gamut from large and medium-sized companies to law and architectural firms in leasing their headquarters facilities. He is experienced in representing clients in purchase and sale transactions, real property financings, and developing and leasing industrial and retail projects.

Mr. Hurst brings transactional real estate capabilities to Sedgwick’s Southern California offices, building upon Sedgwick’s strong real estate practice in Northern California. Sedgwick is committed to establishing a preeminent real estate practice in Southern California, and welcomes Mr. Hurst to lead that effort.

In addition to his active real estate practice, Mr. Hurst is a founding board member of the Pacific Club Impact Foundation®, which awards the annual Lott Trophy to the collegiate defensive football player who makes the greatest impact, both on and off the football field. Mr. Hurst also serves in various capacities with several other civic organizations.

Mr. Hurst received his J.D. from Duke University School of Law and earned his B.A. in economics, cum laude, from Wesleyan University.
