Biography
Afigo I. (Okpewho) Fadahunsi represents a diverse array of clients in Intellectual Property, media and entertainment litigation. She has performed extensive clearance assessment, advising filmmakers and other members of the entertainment industry on a host of potential issues ranging from trademark, copyright and licensing, to defamation, invasion of privacy and right of publicity. She has experience handling copyright litigation involving sound recordings, works of art and design, photographs, literary works, and other protectable works. She also has experience litigating disputes involving authorship, ownership, works for hire, copyrightability and fair use.

Ms. Fadahunsi is a member of the New York State Bar Association, Metropolitan Black Bar Association of New York, Black Entertainment and Sports Lawyers Association and American Bar Association.
During law school, Ms. Fadahunsi was a board member of the International Law Students Association and a member of the Women's Law Forum. She studied international law at Temple University Japan (TUJ) in Tokyo while working as a law clerk for the Office of Judicial Reform, Japan Federation of Bar Associations (Nichibenren). Earlier in her law school tenure, she served as an intern for the Hon. William G. Bassler, U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey.
As an undergraduate, Ms. Fadahunsi received the Chancellor's Scholarship for Excellence in Law & Society.
