Caterpillar Honors Elliott Olson
June 2010
Last week, Caterpillar honored Elliott Olson at a Special Tribute held in Peoria, Illinois. Elliott has served as counsel for Caterpillar for over thirty-five years, having tried his first case on their behalf in 1974. Over the course of his career, Elliott tried thirty-two cases for CAT. The occasion was hosted by the General Counsel for Caterpillar, Jim Buda, and the Deputy General Counsel, Wes Blumenshine, and attended by all of the in-house litigation counsel at Caterpillar's headquarters in Peoria. In addition, regional counsel for Caterpillar nationwide attended, including Gordon James, Steve Di Saia and Tom Robertson.
The occasion included a formal dinner tribute, at which senior counsel at Caterpillar spoke of Elliott's achievements and presented him with an engraved plaque and gifts. The night demonstrated the high esteem in which CAT holds Elliott and the Firm and demonstrated the close relationship between CAT and its regional counsel. Please join me in congratulating Elliott. His exceptional skills and success honor the entire Firm.
