Chris Marks is a veteran trial attorney with verdicts in product liability and commercial litigation matters. He focuses his practice on defending high-exposure tort matters, including product liability cases related to asbestos, consumer products, transportation, and toxic torts. Mr. Marks serves as national trial counsel for several clients, and is an advisor for corporate clients looking to develop nationwide strategies for mass tort litigation defense. He has obtained defense verdicts in state courts and has successfully argued before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals and before several of Washington’s state appellate courts.

Affiliations, Activities and Accomplishments
Mr. Marks has been rated “AV Preeminent” by Martindale-Hubbell. He also was recognized as a “Top Lawyer” in Product Liability for 2010 and 2011 by the Seattle Met, and was named a “Rising Star” by Washington Law and Politics annually from 2001 to 2008.
He is admitted to practice in California (2008), Oregon (2002), and Washington (1998).
Mr. Marks is the current chair of the American Bar Association’s (ABA) Auto Law Committee within the Tort Insurance Practice Section (“TIPS”) and the former chair of the Toxic Tort and Environmental Law Committee within TIPS. He is also the chair-elect of the ABA’s TIPS Trial Academy. He is a member of the Fellows of the American Bar, International Association of Defense Counsel, American Inns of Court (founding member of the William L. Dwyer Chapter), Tacoma-Pierce County Bar Association, King County Bar Association, Los Angeles County Bar Association, and the Multnomah Bar Association. He serves on the Mercer Island Youth Soccer Association Board and is part of the coaching staff for the Mercer Island Middle School Girls Lacrosse Program.
