Biography
Daniel Bir’s practice focuses primarily on the defense of equipment manufacturers in complex, multi-party disputes with an emphasis in products liability actions, general liability actions, and catastrophic injury claims, involving heavy machinery, and electrical and mechanical instruments. Mr. Bir also has extensive experience in the fields of commercial, business, and consumer protection litigation. He also represents clients in a variety of intellectual property matters, including trademark, trade dress, trade secrets, and copyright infringement, misrepresentation of likeness, unfair competition, and breach of contract actions. Mr. Bir litigates matters throughout the United States and has taken hundreds of depositions of both lay and expert witnesses, successfully argued discovery and dispositive motions, and has resolved several cases through mediations and settlement conferences. He also is an active trial lawyer who has successfully defended the firm's clients in numerous jury trials.

Affiliations, Activities and Accomplishments
Mr. Bir is admitted to practice in California (2003) and before the U.S. District Courts for the Central (2003), Northern (2004), Southern (2004), and Eastern Districts of California (2004). Mr. Bir is a member of the Litigation Section of the Los Angeles Bar Association, California State Bar Association, and American Bar Association. He is also a member of the Phi Delta Phi International Legal Fraternity and the Defense Research Institute.
Mr. Bir has also volunteered his time at the Union Rescue Mission Legal Aid Clinic, assisting indigents on various issues, including expungment of criminal records and credit and tax problems. He also donates time to the Center of Veterans Advancement, assisting veterans in a variety of legal matters.
Mr. Bir was named a “Southern California Super Lawyer - Rising Star" for 2013.
