James H. Keale is the firm-wide Chair of the Complex Litigation division. He focuses his practice on products liability, personal injury and employment liability litigation. Mr. Keale has served as trial counsel for multiple defendants in state and federal courts throughout New Jersey and New York.

He has defended multiple corporations against product defects claims involving items such as press brakes, winders, centerless grinders, hydraulic floor jacks, glass and construction, and earth-moving machinery. He has been involved in various fire-related cases, defending claims of personal injury and property damage. He has also defended commercial disputes and discrimination claims under the Law Against Discrimination.

Mr. Keale is a fellow in the American College of Trial Lawyers and a member of the Federation of Defense and Corporate Counsel, as well as the International Association of Defense Counsel and the Defense Research Institute (Product Liability Section). He is also a member of the American, New Jersey and Essex County Bar Associations. He served as a law clerk for the Hon. Paul B. Thompson and also served as a barrister in the Arthur T. Vanderbilt Inns of Court for the 1991-1992 term. Mr. Keale was selected by his peers for inclusion in the 2012 and 2011 editions of Best Lawyers in America in the field of product liability litigation.
