Biography
Kanika Corley, an associate in the Los Angeles office, represents major media, entertainment and advertising entities. Ms. Corley focuses her practice on copyright and trademark infringement litigation. She has experience negotiating and drafting intellectual property agreements, as well as registering, policing and protecting trademarks and copyrights.
Kanika Corley, an associate in the Los Angeles office, represents major media, entertainment and advertising entities. Ms. Corley focuses her practice on copyright and trademark infringement litigation. She has experience negotiating and drafting intellectual property agreements, as well as registering, policing and protecting trademarks and copyrights.
In addition to litigating copyright and trademark infringement cases, she has experience litigating general business disputes involving breach of contract, interference with contractual relations and prospective business advantage, defamation, false advertising and other forms of unfair competition. She also represents and advises entertainers and athletes in entertainment business, technologies and related issues involving the music, wireless and online industries, as well as counseling North American nonprofit organization clients.
Affiliations, Activities and Accomplishments
Ms. Corley is an active member of Sedgwick’s Los Angeles Office Diversity Subcommittee and the Los Angeles Office Women’s Forum Subcommittee. Ms. Corley is also an active member of the American Bar Association, a member of the Beverly Hills Bar Association, Business and Entertainment Law sections, and a member of Black Entertainment and Sports Lawyers Association. In addition, Ms. Corley serves as a board member for GirlTrek, a national nonprofit organization and student-led campaign with the goal of building healthier communities.

Ms. Corley is a frequent writer on issues relating to media, entertainment and technology, and her articles have been published in Daily Journal and the American Bar Association’s ABA/TIPS Media, Privacy, & Defamation Law Committee Newsletter.
