Mr. Newman is responsibile for the administration and maintenance of all firm libraries. His role includes: providing solutions to research, reference and information requests from attorneys and staff in all offices; budgeting and purchasing books and electronic services for all firm libraries; negotiating contracts for library services; collection development in all libraries; implementing library policies and procedures; knowledge of computer-assisted research databases; strategic library planning; and the supervision and training of library staff.

Mr. Newman has authored several articles on: cost-effective research; legal research malpractice; library systems and services; and lawyer/librarian communication. He has been published in the National Law Journal, the New York Law Journal, the Law Office Economics and Management and in program materials for the Practising Law Institute.
