Michael A. Tanenbaum is chair of Sedgwick. He practices in the areas of products liability, pharmaceutical liability and environmental and toxic tort. Over the more than 25 years during which he has been litigating and managing complex commercial and product liability litigation, Mr. Tanenbaum has served as national products liability counsel for pharmaceutical, consumer products, building products and chemical companies, as well as for a global industrial contractor and power equipment manufacturer.

Mr. Tanenbaum counsels corporations concerning litigation risk avoidance, risk management, regulatory and other corporate compliance and due diligence. He consults with financial analysts and major investors concerning investments and the litigation and regulatory outlook for a variety of companies with existing or potential product liabilities.

Mr. Tanenbaum is a member of the American Bar Association, New Jersey Bar Association and Florida State Bar and is chair of the Federation of Defense and Corporate Counsel’s Drug, Device and Biotechnology Section. He is on the Board of Trustees of Atlantic Health, for which he chairs the Audit Committee, and he is chair of the Overlook Hospital Advisory Board.
