Michael A. Tanenbaum joined Sedgwick in 2000 and became Chair of the firm in 2007. He practices in the areas of products liability, pharmaceutical liability and environmental and toxic tort. Mr. Tanenbaum litigates and manages complex commercial and product liability litigation and has served as national products liability counsel for pharmaceutical, consumer products, building products and chemical companies, as well as for a global industrial contractor and power equipment manufacturer.

Mr. Tanenbaum counsels corporations concerning litigation risk avoidance, risk management, regulatory and other corporate compliance and due diligence. He consults with financial analysts and major investors concerning investments and the litigation and regulatory outlook for a variety of companies with existing or potential product liabilities.

Mr. Tanenbaum is admitted to practice in New Jersey, New York and Florida. He is a member of the American Bar Association, New Jersey Bar Association and Florida State Bar and former chair of the Federation of Defense and Corporate Counsel’s Drug, Device and Biotechnology Section.
Mr. Tanenbaum is on the Board of Directors for the New Jersey Performing Art Center and is on the Board of Trustees for the Overlook Hospital Foundation.
