Biography
Katherine Mast focuses her practice in the areas of media and entertainment law, insurance coverage, bad faith and business litigation. Ms. Mast handles a wide range of complex coverage and litigation matters, including those involving technology products and services, trademark and copyright infringement, defamation and trade libel, bad faith and construction related coverage litigation.

Prior to obtaining her J.D., Ms. Mast worked in the computer software and internet technology industries.
Affiliations, Activities and Accomplishments
Ms. Mast is a member of the American Bar Association (ABA) and the Los Angeles County Bar Association. Ms. Mast has served as a Vice-Chair of the ABA TIPS Media, Privacy and Defamation Law Committee since 2007. She is also a member of the ABA Insurance Coverage Litigation Committee where she has served as a Website Managing Editor since 2008, and served as co-chair of the Young Lawyers Insurance Coverage Litigation Committee from 2005-2007.
Ms. Mast was named a “Southern California Super Lawyer-Rising Star” for 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011 by the publishers of Los Angeles Magazine and The Journal for Law & Politics, an honor limited to only 2.5 percent of lawyers in Southern California.

Ms. Mast has served as the editor of Sedgwick's Media Law Bulletin since 2008. Ms. Mast has conducted presentations and authored articles on an assortment of topics, including personal and advertising injury coverage, media and privacy law, and various aspects of insurance coverage litigation.
