Affiliations, Activities and Accomplishments
Ms. Nugent is a member of the California State Bar Association and PLUS (Professional Liability Underwriting Society). She is a founding member of Sedgwick’s Associate Working Committee for the Women’s Forum and is serving her second year as marketing captain for Sedgwick’s San Francisco office Insurance group.. She has served as a member of the Alameda County Bar Foundation’s board of directors and was the president-elect prior to its dissolution in 2002. Ms. Nugent also served for several years as a member of Sedgwick’s Associate Relations Committee.
Ms. Nugent’s speaking engagements include her presentation at Sedgwick’s 19th Annual London Insurance Seminar (October 2006) in London, England. Ms. Nugent’s topic, “Enron: The Saga Continues,” focused on the developments and impacts of the various Enron matters and related insurance issues. She also participated in the preparation of the topic “The Perils of Parle with the ‘Prudent Uninsured’ – Rights and Obligations of Insurers and Insureds in Negotiating Claim Settlements in the Context of a Coverage Dispute” presented at Sedgwick’s 22nd Annual London Insurance Seminar (October 2009).
