David De Piano is an associate with our Ft. Lauderdale office who focuses his practice on general commercial litigation, ERISA defense, premises liability and mass tort. He assists in case development and research and writing, which includes drafting pleadings, pretrial motions, and memorandum of law to be submitted to both state and federal courts. Mr. De Piano has experience handling voluminous e-discovery in the context of complicated commercial disputes, including coordinating the preparation and exchange of these documents through use of third-party vendors and independently contracted document review teams. He has also served as the lead associate on a litigation team that worked to get a class certification denied in an action boat owners brought against fuel and ethanol manufacturers, distributors and suppliers under a market share theory. Mr. De Piano has successfully argued numerous pretrial motions before Florida’s state and federal courts.
