Representative Work
Recent examples of work include:
- Defending Bedfordshire Police Authority’s insurers in the Court of Appeal in proceedings arising from the destruction of the Yarl’s Wood Detention Centre in 2002.
- Managing the defence of a number of class actions in Colombia arising from significant casualties following a terrorist attack to a pipeline operated by a company part owned by BP and Total.
- Advising London market insurers in relation to pan-European recalls by Renault and Nissan.
- Advising insurers in relation to a significant fire which destroyed a Cadbury factory resulting in alleged losses of £110m.
