Sedgwick Elevates Six Attorneys to Partnership

Sedgwick, Detert, Moran & Arnold LLP announced it has elevated six attorneys to partnership: Frederic Grannis and Gary Pancer in the Los Angeles office; Scott Greenspan in the New York office; Christopher Keale in the Newark office; James Pilgrim-Morris in the London office; and Jonathan Rodriguez in the San Francisco office.

Frederic Grannis, based in the firm's Los Angeles office, defends product liability actions involving earthmoving vehicles, heavy industrial equipment and consumer products. In addition to handling such matters, he also represents clients in mass tort & complex litigation, general liability and commercial litigation matters. Grannis earned his J.D. from Loyola Law School and his B.A. from the University of California at Santa Barbara.
The second Los Angeles attorney elevated to partner, Gary Pancer represents healthcare service plans, physicians and other healthcare clients in complex business litigation and consumer disputes. Pancer also serves as president of the board of the Frank D. Lanterman Regional Center, a nonprofit organization that provides services to thousands of children and adults with developmental disabilities in Los Angeles. He earned his J.D. from Southwestern University School of Law and his B.A. from California State University, Northridge, cum laude.
New York attorney Scott Greenspan is an experienced commercial, insurance coverage and products liability litigator. He has served as national litigation coordinating counsel, chief advisor and primary litigator in commercial and lending cases nationwide. His expertise also includes electronic discovery and data management compliance, international arbitration and First Amendment litigation. He obtained his J.D. from the New York University School of Law and his B.A., magna cum laude, from the American University.
Based in the firm's New Jersey office, Christopher Keale possesses extensive mass torts experience with an emphasis on multidistrict litigation ("MDL"). He focuses his practice on pharmaceutical litigation, products liability, class actions and toxic torts. He serves as regional counsel with responsibility for thousands of cases against a global engineering, construction and power company and as trial counsel for an international energy company. He has also defended class actions in state and federal courts in numerous pharmaceutical and medical device cases, and has broad appellate experience in all areas of practice. Keale received a J.D. from Seton Hall University School of Law, an M.A. from Fordham University and a B.A. from the Catholic University of America.
Hailing from one of Sedgwick's three international offices, London attorney James Pilgrim-Morris handles large insurance and reinsurance coverage disputes, generally in arbitration, but also in the English Commercial Court. In particular, he has significant experience with the Bermuda (CGL) policy form, both advising on coverage and conducting several major arbitrations in London. In addition to insurance and reinsurance matters, he also handles professional liability, arbitration and commercial disputes. Pilgrim-Morris earned his J.D. at The College of Law, Lancaster Gate, London, and his LL.B. University College at London.
A member of Sedgwick's Construction Practices Group, Jonathan Rodriguez specializes in complex construction claims and dispute resolution, including payment and performance disputes, impact and extra work claims, and lien claims. He also drafts and negotiates contracts on behalf of his clients to ensure proper risk and benefit allocation. He has successfully represented his clients in all forums including mediation, arbitration and trial. Rodriguez earned his J.D. at Whittier Law School and his B.S. at Ohio State University.
