Sedgwick Dallas Adds Two New Attorneys

Insurance Practices Group welcomes George S. McCall as partner, Sondra S. Rosebrock as special counsel

DALLAS, DECEMBER 15, 2009 – Sedgwick, Detert, Moran & Arnold LLP is pleased to announce that George S. McCall and Sondra Rosebrock have joined the firm’s Dallas office. McCall, who is joining the firm as a partner and has more than 32 years of legal experience, focuses his practice on providing counseling, litigation and arbitration services to the insurance industry. Joining Sedgwick as special counsel, Rosebrock focuses her practice on extracontractual and commercial insurance litigation, property and casualty insurance coverage advice and litigation as well as reinsurance.

McCall provides coverage advice, and represents clients in commercial insurance litigation, insurance coverage disputes, extracontractual claims, disputes between primary and excess insurance companies, disputes between insurance and reinsurance companies, and other complex insurance litigated matters that involve a range of coverages and multi-party coverage disputes.

“I have long been impressed with Sedgwick’s reputation in the insurance industry and the legal community and was excited by the opportunity to work with an impressive group of attorneys and staff at Sedgwick,” McCall said. “I am looking forward to contributing to the firm's practice.”

Rosebrock renders insurance coverage advice and has litigated commercial insurance coverage cases and extracontractual claims. Rosebrock comments, “I am excited to join the insurance group practice at Sedgwick, and for the chance to be a part of a great team of attorneys and staff,” she said.

McCall received his J.D. (1977) from Baylor University School of Law in Waco. He is admitted to practice in Texas (1977) and New York (2007), as well as before the U.S. Supreme Court and U.S. Courts of Appeals for the Fifth and 11th Circuits. He is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Courts for the Northern, Southern, Eastern and Western Districts of Texas, and the District of Colorado.

Rosebrock received her J.D. (2001) from Texas Tech University School of Law in Lubbock, Texas where she was articles editor of the Texas Tech Law Review from 2000-2001. She is admitted to practice in Texas (2001) and before the U.S. District Court for the Northern District. She is a member of the Texas Bar Association, Dallas Bar Association, Texas Bar Association – Insurance Section, Dallas Bar Association – Tort and Insurance Section, the Dallas Association of Young Lawyers and the Defense Research Institute.
