Sedgwick Elevates Four Attorneys to Partner
New Partners Represent a Diverse Group of Practice Areas and Regions
SAN FRANCISCO, January 4, 2010 - Sedgwick Detert Moran & Arnold LLP is pleased to welcome Gregg Dulik, Tanya Lawson, Laura Markovich and Dennis Vega to the firm’s partnership effective January 1, 2010. Indicative of Sedgwick’s increasing geographic and practice area diversity, the four are based in the firm’s San Francisco, Fort Lauderdale, New York and New Jersey offices and represent the firm’s Construction, Product Liability and Insurance Practice Groups.

Dulik, a San Francisco attorney, represents contractors, owners and designers in a wide variety of legal matters arising on private and public projects. He has extensive experience prosecuting and defending construction claims before state and federal courts, governmental agencies and arbitration panels. In addition to handling construction matters, he also has successfully litigated numerous commercial, product liability, toxic tort, and probate cases. Dulik received his J.D. from Boston University School of Law and his B.A., with honors, from the University of California at Berkeley.
Lawson, a Fort Lauderdale attorney, specializes in product liability matters, and also handles an extensive amount of asbestos litigation. She has represented Fortune 100 manufacturers of heavy equipment, vertical transport systems, heating and ventilation systems. She also represents clients in commercial litigation, construction litigation, mass tort litigation and general civil litigation matters. She earned her J.D. from the Cornell Law School and her B.A., with honors, from Florida International University.
Based in Sedgwick’s New York office, Markovich represents insurers as coverage and/or monitoring counsel on matters involving directors and officers liability, professional liability, errors and omissions, financial institution liability and employment practices liability policies. She received her J.D. from Brooklyn Law School and her B.S. from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.
Vega, an experienced New York trial attorney, is based in Sedgwick’s Newark office. Vega serves as national coordinating counsel for a global engineering and manufacturing group with business groups in industrial, automotive and building products. He defends clients in high stakes and sophisticated product liability, toxic tort, maritime, wrongful death, personal injury and premises liability cases. Vega's defense work includes coordinating with distinguished scientific and medical expert witnesses and serving as lead counsel in various state and federal coordinated proceedings. He earned his J.D. from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law at Yeshiva University, and his B.A., with honors, from Queens College.
