Biography
Ralph A. Campillo has over 30 years of experience litigating and coordinating commercial and product liability litigation. His nationally recognized practice in the area of pharmaceutical and medical device litigation includes the representation of many top tier companies in cutting-edge litigation, including, DES, silicone implants, orthopedic devices, and many other prescription products. He has extensive experience handling and coordinating mass product and other complex litigation. As national or regional litigation coordinator for multiple Fortune 500 companies, Mr. Campillo has directed many appellate efforts leading to such landmark opinions as Brown v. Superior Court, Murphy v. Squibb, Deitchman v. Lilly, and Magallanes v. Superior Court.
Memberships & Honors
Mr. Campillo is an active member of several defense organizations including the Federation of Defense and Corporate Counsel, the Defense Research Institute, Southern California Defense Counsel, and the Association of Defense Trial Attorneys. In conjunction with some of these organizations, Mr. Campillo has lectured on discovery techniques, protective orders, trial technique, and several aspects of pharmaceutical and medical device law. He is also a member of the American Bar Association. Mr. Campillo's experience and success has resulted in multiple nominations and honors, including the International Who's Who of Product Liability and Business Lawyers, Southern California's "Super Lawyers" and the Top 100 California's Leading Lawyers. Mr. Campillo was selected by his peers for inclusion in the 2012 and 2011 editions of Best Lawyers in America in the filed of product liability litigation. Mr. Campillo was included in the International Who's Who of Product Liability Defense Lawyers for 2012.

Mr. Campillo has considerable experience in most areas of tort law and has successfully tried cases on behalf of Pharmacia Corporation, Baxter Healthcare Corporation, Merck & Co., Inc., Mentor Corporation, Johns-Manville, Greyhound Corporation, E.R. Squibb and Sons, Inc., Pfizer, Inc., Stryker Corporation, Edward Weck & Co. and Schering Corporation, among others. He has also serviced these and other clients in general commercial matters, contractual disputes, intellectual property litigation, and business transactions.
