Biography

Rebecca Barho practices natural resource law, with particular emphasis on the Endangered Species Act, the National Environmental Policy Act, and the Migratory Bird Treaty Act.  Ms. Barho has worked on a wide range of matters throughout the Southwestern United States. She has been involved intimately in preparation and negotiation of numerous habitat conservation plans under the Endangered Species Act and represents a wide variety of clients, including local governments, utilities, mines, real estate developers, and renewable energy companies.  She is currently working with the American Wind Energy Association on two multi-state, multi-species habitat conservation plans: the Great Plains HCP and the Midwest Wind HCP, as well as with local governments and private entities on issues related to the impending listing of several species of central Texas salamanders.  She has been heavily involved in the negotiation of several listed species conservation bank in Texas.  Additionally, Ms. Barho works on administrative proceedings and litigation involving federal and state environmental law.

Affiliations, Activities and Accomplishments

Ms. Barho was admitted to the State Bar of Texas in 2006.  She is admitted to practice before the United States District Courts for the Northern, Southern and Western Districts of Texas.  She is also a member of the American Bar Association and a member of the Real Estate Council of Austin.
