Sedgwick obtained summary judgment dismissal on behalf of our client, an insurer, in the arbitration of a coverage dispute involving a trading loss claim submitted under securities broker/dealer professional liability policy. Our attorneys convinced the arbitration panel to dismiss the claim based on a strict application of New York law regarding the untimely notice of claims (here, the delay was five months).
