Ex-employee v. Pharmaceutical Company
June 2007
Sedgwick obtained a jury verdict for our client, a pharmaceutical company, in an employment discrimination trial. Plaintiff alleged that she was harassed, discriminated and retaliated against because she was a nursing mother. Following a five-week trial, the jury deliberated for two weeks and found for defendant on all counts but the harassment claim, and awarded plaintiff $50,000 on that claim. The court sua sponte vacated the verdict and entered judgment on behalf of our client on all counts.
