Ex-Employee v. International Elevator Corporation
October 2007
Sedgwick obtained a summary judgment for our client, an international elevator corporation, in an employment/labor action. Plaintiff, an employee of our client, sued after she was terminated following numerous customer complaints. Plaintiff alleged that she was fired because of gender discrimination and claimed sexual and national origin harassment. Sedgwick demonstrated that as a matter of law, our client's termination decision was due to the customer complaints, not to any illegal motive, and that plaintiff had failed to demonstrate harassment or her other causes of action.
