Sedgwick obtained a favorable appellate ruling for our client, a law firm, in an action filed in California state court. The plaintiff, a developer, alleged that our client maliciously filed a lis pendens against his property, causing him to lose the property and ultimately his entire net worth.  Sedgwick prevailed on an anti-SLAPP special motion to strike, including an award of attorneys' fees.
