Sedgwick Wins the California State Bar Diversity Award for Law Firms

The California State Bar named Sedgwick LLP its 2012 law firm recipient of the State Bar Diversity Award. The awards were established by the California State Bar Board of Governors in 2001 to recognize outstanding efforts made by a bar association, law firm and an individual attorney in promoting diversity in the legal profession; in particular, to recognize efforts ensuring the full and equal opportunity of all persons for entry and advancement in California's legal profession. The law firm category seeks to recognize legal employers that demonstrate a sustained long-term commitment to encouraging, increasing, and/or retaining diversity in the legal profession, with a specific focus on recruitment, retention and advancement of diverse attorneys.
