Sedgwick’s Richard Geddes Co-Authors Bermuda Form Book

October 2011

Sedgwick is pleased to announce the publication of “The Bermuda Form - Interpretation and Dispute Resolution of Excess Liability Insurance,” co-authored by Sedgwick partner Richard Geddes and published by Oxford University Press.

Providing analysis and interpretation on the construction of the Bermuda Form, this book also addresses the dispute resolution process and covers the legal and practical issues that arise in the international arbitration of large and complex disputes under it. It also features a discussion of competing arguments and constructions that have been advanced in confidential Bermuda Form arbitrations giving an unrivaled analysis of this inaccessible subject.

Authors Geddes, David Scorey (Essex Court chambers) and Chris Harris (Clyde & Co.) bring extensive firsthand experience of Bermuda Form arbitrations. This book is the only one of its class to include a copy of the Bermuda Form.
