Mr. Jones has been elected to membership in the American Board of Trial Advocates and the American College of Trial Lawyers. During the course of his career, he has prepared and tried to verdict numerous landmark toxic and environmental cases. Many of those cases involved claims of personal injury, property damage and business disruption due to exposure to chemicals in the workplace, home, groundwater and environment.

He has been lead trial counsel or the supervising attorney on numerous major environmental and toxic tort litigation matters, obtaining defense verdicts in extremely complex actions.

Mr. Jones has been elected to membership in the American Board of Trial Advocates and the American College of Trial Lawyers. He served as Vice President of the Federation of Insurance and Corporate Counsel. He is a member of the California Bar Association and the Defense Research Institute. He is an arbitrator for the Judicial Arbitration Program of the San Francisco Superior Court.
Mr. Jones frequently speaks on environmental and toxic tort-related issues before various professional groups such as the Defense Research Institute, the Northern California Association of Defense Counsel, California Continuing Education of the Bar, the Practicing Law Institute and the American Bar Association.
While in law school, he was a member of the Thurston Honor Society, the Order of the Coif and the Hastings Law Journal. Following a clerkship with Justice Winslow Christian, California Court of Appeal, First Appellate District, Division IV, he joined Sedgwick in 1968.
