Mr. Robertson has handled a wide variety of matters in the state and federal courts of New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania. He has tried numerous cases to verdict as lead counsel.
Affiliations, Activities and Accomplishments
In 1997, Mr. Robertson was designated by the New Jersey Supreme Court as a Certified Civil Trial Attorney, a designation granted only to those attorneys demonstrating superior experience, education, knowledge and skill in civil trial practice. Successful applicants must pass a rigorous written examination and be recommended by judges and peers as possessing the requisite expertise in civil trial practice. Only 2-3% of New Jersey attorneys receive this honor.
The National Board of Trial Advocacy selected Mr. Robertson as a Board Certified Civil Trial Advocate in 2002. This designation is reserved for attorneys who have demonstrated enhanced skill and experience in civil trial advocacy. He has also been awarded an "AV" rating (highest) by the Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Ratings system based upon attorneys' and judges' confidential assessments of his skill, experience and ethical conduct.
Mr. Robertson is a trustee of the Trial Attorneys of New Jersey (TANJ) and president for the 2009 to 2010 term. He is also a member of the Defense Research Institute, the Supreme Court Historical Society and the New Jersey and Essex County Bar Associations.
