Todd D. McCormick concentrates his practice on insurance coverage law and litigation issues, arising primarily under fidelity bonds, directors and officers’ liability policies and errors and omissions insurance policies. Mr. McCormick also has substantial experience litigating matters involving employer medical stop-loss insurance policies, and has litigated several appellate matters.

McCormick concentrates his practice on insurance coverage law and litigation issues, arising primarily under fidelity bonds, directors and officers’ liability policies and errors and omissions insurance policies. Mr. McCormick also has substantial experience litigating matters involving employer medical stop-loss insurance policies, and has litigated several appellate matters.
Mr. McCormick also has extensive experience litigating complex business tort matters in both state and federal courts. Recently, Mr. McCormick successfully assisted in obtaining a defense verdict in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California for a corporate client faced with a lawsuit seeking more than $18 million in damages by a broker alleging claims for interference with prospective business advantage, defamation, conspiracy, unfair business practices and breach of contract.
Mr. McCormick has taken or defended more than 50 depositions, successfully argued numerous discovery and other dispositive motions, attended mediations that resulted in favorable settlements for his clients, and has obtained favorable verdicts for clients in arbitrations and both judge and jury trials.

Memberships and Honors
He is an advisory panel member for the American Bar Association. Mr. McCormick is a member of the Italian American Lawyers Association and is active in the Alumni Mentor Program for Pepperdine University, School of Law.
While in law school, he was a founding member of The Geoffrey H. Palmer Center for Entreprenuership and the Law (The Palmer Center). Mr. McCormick received a fellowship from the center, which provided an opportunity to assist on mergers and acquisitions as well as business litigation matters while working in the legal department of a web-based, real estate conglomerate. He was also a judicial extern for the Hon. Consuelo B. Marshall, judge of the U.S. District Court, Central District of California.
Mr. McCormick was named a rising star in the 2011 issue of the New York Super Lawyers magazine.
