Women's Forum
In 2004, Sedgwick created a program designed to revolutionize the way gender is addressed in our firm, and potentially within the legal industry. Since its inception, the internal training and client events offered through the Women’s Forum have been nationally recognized for their innovation and for successfully addressing the obstacles professional women face. The effect of the Sedgwick Women’s Forum can be felt in the growing number of Sedgwick’s women partners, women leaders, and the attorneys who cite the Women’s Forum as their reason for choosing to work at Sedgwick.

Sedgwick’s attorneys take pride in their ability to provide excellent service and outstanding results for our clients. But our women attorneys are more than attorneys. They are mothers, best-friends, scuba-divers, art-lovers, world travelers, and shoe fanatics. To help our attorneys balance the demands of having full-time jobs and full-time lives, the Women’s Forum offers internal training programs which provide a forum to discuss and brainstorm solutions to some of the issues facing attorneys today. Past programs have covered work/life balance, financial planning, business development, personal image, and more.
Sedgwick Women’s Forum events are popular affairs! Our clients hear the inspirational, and valuable stories from dynamic women such as Congresswoman Jackie Speier, New York Times Columnist Lisa Belkin, “20/20” News Anchor and Author Lynn Scherr, and Astronaut Sally Ride! We are also firm believers that life has enough cocktail parties. So we invite clients to our own cooking classes, fashion shows, jewelry-making lessons, golf clinics, and more!
At Sedgwick, we understand our responsibility to our communities. That’s why we support national and local non-profit organizations, such as Girls’ Inc., Working Wardrobes, Dress for Success, the Boys & Girls Club, Susan G. Komen for the Cure and American Cancer Society, to find innovative ways Sedgwick can benefit the girls and women of our communities.
